SpectrumSCM Plugin for the Eclipse Platform

Eclipse is an open source software development project dedicated to providing a robust, full-featured platform for the development of highly integrated tools. The Eclipse Platform is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for anything and for nothing in particular. The SpectrumSCM plugin for Eclipse provides the necessary functionality for associating projects in the Eclipse workspace with a SpectrumSCM repository and defines various SpectrumSCM specific operations for managing projects shared with a SpectrumSCM repository, thus providing a tight integration with the Eclipse platform.The plugin gives developers using Eclipse direct access to advanced software configuration management features including version control, branching and issue tracking, all from within the Eclipse environment.

General Installation Instructions

Eclipse 3.1 and newer
  1. Start Eclipse and select Help >> Software Updates >> Find and Install from the menu bar.
    This opens the Install/Update dialog.

  2. Choose the Search for new features to install option and click Next. Click the New
    Remote Site...
    button on the subsequent dialog. Provide a name for the bookmark and enter
    http://www.spectrumscm.com/eclipse/plugins in the URL field. Click OK.

  3. Select the remote site that you just added and click Next to search for available plugins on the
    remote site.

  4. Select the SpectrumSCM Plugin option in the subsequent dialog. Click Next and follow the
    on-screen instructions to install the plugin.
